Media notes

Parts of this track, particularly between 08:49 and 12:00, are excellent. Recording Times: 13:14, 13:29, 14:02, 14:18 (UTC -5). Temperature: 21 C. Habitat: Desert, Mixed Coniferous/Deciduous, Montane. Background species and behavior notes: Pipilo maculatus, Catherpes mexicanus, Baeolophus atricristatus, Aphelocoma ultramarina, Vireo huttonii, Thryomanes bewickii, Melanerpes formicivorus, Pheucticus melanocephalus. This is probably not the same bird as ML81625881, which I believe may be audible counter-singing.The bird was seen as close as 5 m away during the portion of the track between 13:05 and 18:58. A single song between 15:41 and 15:44 will be slightly distorted due to overtopping. Specific Location: Latitude 29.251523, Longitude -103.298628, Elevation 2095 m. Big Bend National Park, Pinnacles Trail just below the pass at Emory Peak. 2.1 km south (bearing 177.8) from Chisos Basin Lodge. ID'd by Sight & Sound ; ID confidence 100%.
