Media notes

NOTES: LIMESTONE CAVERN. NOISE OF BIRDS EMERGING FROM CAVE AND FLYING OVER CAVE. AT LEAST ONE THOUSAND BIRDS WERE IN FLOCK WHICH CIRCLED. THE FLOCK DIMINISHED IN SIZE AS THE MORNING PROGRESSED, AND THE LATTER PORTION OF THE RECORDING CONTAINS FEWER BIRDS. Sex: 1000 UNKNOWN BEST TOWARD BEGINNING, LAST PART VERY LOW. [There are too many birds here to differentiate many of the vocalizations, but most of this appears to represent the clear "weet" or "cheweet" chatter described in BNA. I was also able to differentiate what appear to be "che" notes at 1:525, 2:34, 3:53, 3:56, 4:005, 4:115, 5:12, 5:125, and 5:345; songs at 1:09-1:11, 6:05-6:08 (BEST example), and 7:03-7:05; and what I believe is a lower-pitched "choo" call at 6:46.) - CAM - 26 January 2005].
