NOTES: Very tentatively identified as Harpyhaliaetus solitarius by archivist David L. Ross Jr. after review of Conservation International's RAP Working Papers 7, Appendix 5. The recordist announces "eagle" on tape. In Birds of Colombia, Hilty describes a piping series for Harpyhaliaetus solitarius that is similar to Barred Hawk (Leucopternis princeps). A little later in the field tape there is a distant background sound that is very similar (to David Ross) to the aerial flight display vocalization of Leucopternis princeps. ML: Subject changed from Buteogallus solitarius to Morphnarchus princeps. Jay McGowan, 8Mar2023.
