Media notes
Dark-eyed Junco likely representing a male J. h. cismontanus given the combination of a blackish hood, brownish back, and slate-gray flanks photographed by Curtis A. Marantz on 23 December 2017 at Patrick's Point State Park, Trinidad, Humboldt County, California.
Observation details
(I suspect that a bird that I photographed among a large flock of "Oregon" Juncos represented a male J. h. cismontanus given a blackish hood that contrasted with dark gray flanks, a dark brownish back, and dark gray wings)
