Observation details
Female, has been seen by others since. David got some photos but I don't know whether they're identifiable. Bill all orange-ish, small and triangular, and steep forehead. David can probably give a better description. DVP description. Goldeneye with a steep forehead which gave the impression of a more squared shaped head. The head coloration was a warm dark brown. The bill was orangy-yellow which turned to more of an olive color at the base of the bill and extended slightly toward the nostril. The bill appeared shorter and thicker at the base than the nearby Common's which gave it a triangular shape rather than the long bill of a Common.
