Observation details
Originally located by Lauren Harter et. al. on the Alamos CBC earlier in the day. Continued a few hours later in the evening for many. Larger and more svelte in shape than the Bronzed Cowbirds it was accompanying while foraging at the dump. Longer-tailed than a Bronzed Cowbird as well. Body a bronzed golden color while the head was an iridescent bluish color. Longish slender silvery bill. Iris dull amber. Silent. I believe this constitutes the first Sonoran record, and the third documented report of this species for Mexico (perhaps the first photographed?) Way to go Lauren!
