Media notes
Mixed with three moffitti in background, three moffitti in left of this image and three parvipes in foreground and two minima foraging with necks down in middle between parvipes. The parvipes are a bit smaller than moffitti, and larger than minima. They have pale breasts that contrast with black necks. One showed faint neck ring and their bills are a bit shorter than moffitti. They are rare here in Plumas County, my first photographs of this subspecies.
Observation details
Lesser Canada Goose, Branta Canadensis parvipes. I suppose the taxonomy has changed since I learned this bird. I cannot find anything in ebird that works under my apparent dated taxonomy.
