Observation details
Very strange that eBird does not mark this (sub)species as rare! It took me 5 weeks of going through this huge flock of teals before I managed to find a Eurasian one. Pure bird with not even a hint of vertical white flank stripe. Solid, broad horizontal one, flanked by lower horizontal black flank stripe. Slightly bulkier than surrounding teal, crown a little bit lighter and yellow markings around green eye patch broader too. After having done some research on eBird and other media, I'm convinced pure Euro Teals are more rare than thought here, and intergrades are more common to stumble upon, as I did as well today.
