Observation details
Continuing immature in the three large Tipu trees west of Restroom #8. Working larger limbs and trunks around central canopy of trees. As described by others, an immature sapsucker with mottled, dingy whitish, double vertical baring down back, whitish facial stripes with diffuse reddish crown and red throat. Throat bordered in pale black around. Strong, wide white vertical wingbar, very dingy whitish beneath with dark flank streaking. Photos in shade mostly.
