Media notes
The three circular wrinkles seen at bill base might be a good way to tell individual variation if a nearby Ross's is found in the future.
Observation details
Rare but regular winter visitor. Very likely the same individual that was discovered at Connetquot River SP by Bill Marrs 5 days earlier on 11/25 but difficult to say with certainty given what we've seen with Ross's Geese the past couple of winters. Tiny entirely white chen with black primary tips, rounded head, short pink bill with no grin patch. The feathering at bill base forming a clean vertical line, rather than curved as seen in Snow Goose X Ross's hybrids. Photos attached.
