Media notes
The potential AMERICAN crow on the left, with a sickly northwestern crow on the right.
Observation details
Heard a solitary crow calling in a high-pitched voice. Ran with my scope and found it. The bird subsequently joined a sickly Northwestern Crow that has been hanging at a neighbor's feeder the past few days, and I was able to take a couple of photos of the two of them together. The crow sp. departed by itself, again calling a noticeably higher-pitched call than any typical Northwestern Crow. Another possible AMERICAN crow? No other crows anywhere in the area at the time. I concentrated on getting images with their beaks in perfect profile view at the same time.
