Media notes
One of a flock of 10 birds; birds flew into a live oak tree and then moved from tree to tree, with this bird posing on a juniper limb.
Observation details
I was conducting a cactus survey in a pasture when I noticed a flock of bluebirds fly into an adjacent tree. With naked eye I noticed the shade of blue on the males looked too dark for Eastern Bluebirds so I looked at them with binoculars to confirm they were Westerns and then was able to snap some photos before they moved on. They first landed in a live oak tree and then moved into another live oak and into some Ashe juniper trees before flying off in a group over my head, allowing me to count them.
