Observation details
Three adults and one juvenile. I didn’t see them take off from the pit so I’m assuming they were just flying over and I happened to be in the right place to see them. They didn’t land in any nearby water as I checked both pits for a good while as well as the lake at Spring Valley Wildlife Area. It’s definitely about time that Greene Co. has gotten some of these large migrants!
