Observation details
Flew by with many common goldeneyes @ 100yds. All dark back and wings without white stood out among goldeneyes. White head and flanks clearly visible in flight. When landed, white head and flanks were also easily visible at long range. At rapids just upstream from Darrows Island, and 3/4 mile downstream from Catfish Jct. It was feeding in a similar pattern as the goldeyeyes - repeatedly diving in the rapids.
