Media notes
NOTES: (Bkground Sounds: Wind. Range Status: Normal, highly endangered. Breeding Status: Territorial paired, breeding.) Field annotations are included: playback of the Estrilda brought in the Olive White-eye. I did not see the singer but the Green White-eyes of Reunion and Mauritius are capable of long mimic songs. The annotation marks this section--thereafter there is a ssection of songs with warbled phrases. It is again annotated as "A Zosterops. . ." It is a mimic song and the male mimics the Z. b. mauritanius together with C. typica (C. typica is heard in the background.) Annotation is "confused." I should have said songs of chloronothus with Z.b. m. mimicry! [HPF 220 Hz.]. Other Behaviors: Mimicry, Mate, Advertise.
