This sp. does forage low at almost ground level (for insects more than nectar at that level!--also gathering nest-building material they come down very low). The annotation at the start of Part B relates to this end of Part A (on LNS 74621). HPF 250 Hz. CAT NO. 74621, PART B: Time: 1015+. Date: 19 Nov, 1974. Identified by sight and sound. Range Status: Normal, highly endangered. Breeding Status: Territorial paired, breeding. Sound Category: Song, call. Stimulus for Sound: Natural (no playback). Behav. Context: Mate contact, aggression. Field Recorder: Stellavox Sp. 7. Cut length: Part B 08:52.) HPR 250 Hz. The initial annotation (field) relates to the end section of Part A. The buzz or scold is uttered and heard sseveral times as the p[illegible] while foraging. There are on Part A some clear song phrass. There are several interspecific interactions with mauritanius, some very clear, always chloronothus is "soft" but highly aggressive, and does supplant the other sp: songs with "warbling" are heard. There apparently is a close pair bond during the season (I seldom saw one individual alone) with action between the two Zosterops = interspecific interaction. Field annotations included.
