Observation details
It was 15 minutes past the mid-day. Noticed the bird by a call of a White-throated Kingfisher sitting in a bush nearby by the side of the road. The bird was inside the bush. As I slowly approached the bush, the Kingfisher flew away. This bird was little cautious, but did not care to fly away. Was not at all sluggish and was looking this way and that way very frequently. It is larger than a Munia and smaller than an Ashy wood Swallow, somewhat mid-size. Has a grey mantle and a dark grey crown. Iris is pale. Flew away when some passer-by interrupted. Has a very quick flight.
