Observation details
First found on 3 November by Mark Kudrav, but not conclusively identified until recordings were made today (included here). Mostly sticking to the "Virgin Patch" near the "Y". I looked for this bird for an hour yesterday and did not find it. Today I was able to locate the bird with the help of other local birders. It responded well to playback of Eastern Wood-Pewee calls, and I was able to make some recordings of the bird, despite it being very noisy in the area (planes!). Differs visually from typical Western Wood-Pewee in being more lightly marked overall with contrasting pale throat and very plain undertail coverts; bill base pale; hint of an eyering.
