Observation details

While Dave, Ann Nightingale, Jim Danzenbaker and I were birding the Convention Center (talking to Scarlet Colley) Dave spotted a crow fly overhead. I spotted it flying south about 1/4 mile to the south. We drove south and parked behind the IBC Bank along the bay and spotted not one but two crows flying south right past us. Dave and Shawneen both got photos. They were long, square tailed crows with very glossy purple plumage. Much larger and stouter and larger billed than GTGR but much smaller and slimmer than CHRA. We live where AMCR is abundant so Dave recognized the crow shape right away.
