Autobon ID photo for comparison. Dead ringer. I'm going to say this is an immature male as the neck/white is brighter, as it would be with a young male, and the second picture shows a lighter spot at the bas of its beak.
Observation details
I would say this is a dead ringer for the Audubon ID below. I'm going to say this is an immature male as the neck/white is brighter, as it would be with a young male, and the second picture shows a lighter spot at the bas of its beak. Tail droops into water4 (no fail feathers sticking up), both have brownish back with mottled spots of white on brown, Black cap cuts eye (as an eye stripe might) and white over brown cheek to neck white goes too base of neck. It has a dark beak and dark eye.
