NOTES: BNA: Possibly the "Kek" call heard throughout the recording. CZ 17/02/2004. [This recording contains the Primary Advertising Calls (the monotonous, "kek" notes speeding up and slowing down) of two male R. l. scottii (following BNA; see also Figure 1 of Massey and Zembal. 1987. Vocalizations of the Light-footed Clapper Rail. J. Field Ornithol. 58: 32-40). Subspecific assignment is based on range (following BNA). Also heard in the background are at least two different examples of the "Clapper" Call (0:39-0:43, 2:31-2:32). There appear to be "cryptic" stop-starts at 1:00 and 1:59, both of which break sets of calls. Quality added (1-2/1) - CAM - 6 April 2005]. Habitat: Wetland, Salt Marsh, Brackish Marsh, Bay/Harbor.
