The first of four female Vermilion Flycatchers seen and here photographed by Curtis A. Marantz on 28 October 2017 at Lake Tamarisk, Desert Center, Riverside County, California. The orange belly is suggestive of a first-fall bird.
Observation details
We saw four Vermilion Flycatchers today, all females, with an orange-bellied bird seen along the south side of the golf course, a yellow-bellied bird seen in the northwestern part of the golf course, and both pink-bellied and orange-bellied birds seen in the park east of the community center.
