Observation details

This morning we travelled to Youngstown, NY to see if we could get closer looks of this Razorbill. We were not disappointed, the bird was spotted at the mouth of the Niagara River very close to the corner wall of Fort Niagara. We watched as it fed in the "rip" (a line of moving water pushed into Lake Ontario from the Niagara River where food is easily found) only 30-35 meters northwest of the fort. We eventually observed this Razorbill move well into Ontario waters. This sighting accepted by the BOS, NYSARC, and the OBRC.
