Observation details
**very rare and extremely awesome; circling over a Killer Whale mammal kill and its resulting oil slick off Reef Point at considerable distance; in view from 6:45-8:20 PM nearly continuously; immature bird, dark chocolate colored with a grayish upper belly patch (so not a juvenile) and a large pale bill; deep flaps, wide wings, huge size obvious in direct comparison to Glaucous-winged Gulls, Northern Fulmars, and Short-tailed Shearwater; seen by all birders on the island; several digiscoped videos and distant photos
