Media notes
NOTES: (Sex: 1? male, 1 female; Breeding Status: territorial, breeding; Stimulus for Sound: natural and then playback own song; Behavioral Context: threat, aggression) Initially there is an interaction likely - males and female or a nest situation below us, and a potential predator. These calls are heard in agressive male, or 2 males 1 female situations, or when a predator approaches the nest. Many such calls heard in December. Then a series of calls natural, no playback followed by response to playback. Then later [unreadable word] a non-playback stimulated series of calls. I had been told that [local information!] the male gave the fast call and the female the slow. The male can and does give both "tempo" calls fast and slow.
