Observation details

Originally spotted by Karen Rusch during a birding class. We did not get great looks at the back of the bird, but I did briefly see red on the back of the head. The throat pattern, without a complete border of black around the red, seems good for male(?) Red-naped as opposed to Yellow-bellied. Photos by Dennis Ringer.
