Observation details
A brown female, first heard in a neighboring yard for several minutes, then seen, after following its distinct and loud 'pit' calls to the far side of the empty, overgrown lot behind this location. Several photos were taken but the morning sun was behind the bird, making it difficult to get a good shot. However, two are included here for ID purposes. This is the second sighting of this bird in the last four days and it appears to have a curled caterpillar in it's beak.
