Observation details
feeding along the side of Tardiff Road. I first passed the bird and noticed it, thinking it was a grouse until I saw the long tail. I turned around in the next driveway and came back, hoping other cars would not flush the bird. I could see it was an immature male Ring-necked Pheasant, a brown bird with spotted back, lighter breast, long tail, orange around the brown eye and white below the eye. I was able to come along side and take photos from the car window. It flushed when I attempted to get out of the car.
