Observation details

Life Bird! Fist noticed small, buffy-faced sparrow in the tall, wet grass behind the barn. Knew it was ammodramus right away. Did not vocalize, but got plenty of close-range pics. Reddish-brown, streaky nape of neck, white crown stripe, dark streaks on flanks, small bill. Observed for about 10 minutes and then lost track of it. Joined by Greg Hirth after about 1/2 hour and then spent the next 1/2 hour trying to relocate it. We eventually relocated it in the same spot I lost it about 20 yards behind the barn in the tall wet grass in the middle of the field.
