Observation details
Medium sized owl with dark eye patches and streaked breast. Seen at dusk and heard calling. Flew closer and called more in response to playback of a SEOW recording. **Edit 10/23/17 Species changed from SEOW to GHOW after reviewing recording more. Closely matches "begging call" of young GHOW recordings on Xeno-Canto.
