Observation details
Seen very well at close range for an extended period in the bay just north of Corundum Point. Actively diving and fishing, spending most of its time underwater. Small-bodied, with noticeably daintier bill and smaller, more smoothly-rounded head than COLO. Nape and head uniform medium gray; neck and breast white. Sharp vertical dividing line between dark sides and pale front of neck not blurred as on RBLO. Faint but very distinctive dark "chin strap" easily visible at such close range. Bill slimmer than COLO but not as thin as in RBLO, and lacking upturned appearance. Documentation quality photos were obtained that I will upload later this week when I get home. Great bird!
