Observation details
This remarkably rare for Ontario bird, a young male moulting into basic plumage, is a bird of the American southwest. It was discovered in the medium sized community of Brampton where I saw it feeding in a front yard tree at 90 Addington Crescent. An overall black coloured bird the head crest was hard to miss as was it's prominent red eye. When it flew to a neighbors backyard the white wing patches were noted. This sighting was accepted by the OBRC.
