Song by R. yellow (rerecorded from right channel) c) 800am. Song by R. yellow (rerecorded from left channel) d) 835am. Song by R. yellow (note the high frequency chattering) (rerecorded by from left channel) e) 910am. Song by R. yellow and L. orange, the former being the louder (close to the left mic) (rerecorded from left channel) 203 Then, a direct continuation with the original stereo recording on 175 tape. [The following is a note in reference to the birds behaviors during the week of this recording] During the week beginning 10Feb1974 the birds (lineola) sang quite a lot, some days were up to 5:20pm. However, 15 Feb. they sang a little less and 16 Feb. hardly at all: a little at 730am, a very short session at aprx. 1000am and then some at mid-PM. I have no explanation for the reduced song. However, 17 and 18 Feb. 1974 the birds sang a lot, with most of the song, as usual, by R. yellow. On 19 Feb., they again sang less. On 20 Feb. R. yellow a few short phrases early in AM but then didn't sing all day, as usual, nothing until 6pm when he sang for aprx. 10 minutes (at this time it was foggy and cold, precisely the conditions when he usually doesn't sing); L. orange did sing a good bit 20 Feb., especially in AM. On 21 feb. there was again relatively little song; occasional short spurts during the day. Note made 26 Feb. 1974 indicates that the birds sang more or less normally during the few preceding days. 16 July 1974- Note that both R. yellow and L. orange sang very much this date (which does not necessarily imply that they sang little during the preceding days) {but see note of 24 July 1974 a page of captive bird notes} the songs here, the same pattern as the birds have used right along.
