Juvenile pacific loon had sharp demarcation between dark and white region on neck. Bill was smaller and straighter than for common loon. Scalloping on back was observed indicating that bird was a juvenile. It caught a yellow perch.
Observation details
Juvenile Pacific Loons were only 50 m from north shore of Glenmore Reservoir approximately 100 m west of rowing club
