Adult in breeding plumage hawking over ponds
Observation details
Was hawking low over the ponds in the grass area next to the main holding tank. Flew over the main holding a couple of times but was high up and not hawking. Also flew back across Puketutu Canal to the grass hill and would return and keep hawking
