Observation details
As we were driving west on the road between Pond 1E and Pond 2, we were almost to the "T" in the road when we saw a bird flush and land in a small hackberry tree on the north side of Pond 2 (1st tree east of the T). We noted the rusty-orange & cream heavy stripes on the chest, the buffy-white line on the brownish plain wing, narrow dark cap visible on crown, and yellow legs. We watched for about 10 minutes and then the bird went to the base of the tree. The bird was subsequently observed by several other birders on a branch over the water. Later bird observed walking back into grasses against the shoreline. See photos. Was present when we left at 11:43.
