NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut #E-3. Bulk reel #500 Variation in elevation noted: 100-145 m. ~ 120m. Song type 1 = SO-SOO-la; 2 = SO-SO-LA; 3 = SO-LAA. a) 14 June 1973. 1730 hours. Weather: Cloudy, fair. Type 1 phrase (essentially monotone, although third note is slightly lower). Bird in woods by bean patch on plateau. Quality: 3. Level: +3; 2-3. 0. 3.75 ips. 175 tape. Copied on 175 tape from N-4.2 to N-IV. b) 15 June 1973. ~ 1700 hours. Undoubtedly this same bird next PM. Much noise due to wind. Quality: 3. Level: 0. Although this bird decoyed fairly readily, it was extremely wary, and I was never able to see it in spite of many attempts, moving, changing song types, etc. Also it seemed to habituate fairly quickly to my imitations. Female 16 June #8802; male 17 June #8803.
