NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut #Z-10. Bulk reel #497 Song type 1 = SO-SOO-la; 2 = SO-SO-LA; 3 = SO-LAA. a) 23 March 1975. 1825 hours. Type 3; bird now "east of woods." In background are birds of Z-9,b.) In this recording the bird's voice is lower and broken in the first figure. Actually, its voice broke fairly frequently but some "normal" phrases, with both figures at the higher pitch, are heard in background of Cut Z-9, b, esp. in 7.5 ips section at 5", 30" 68." Quality: 2. Level: +3. 139 tape. Std. b) 24 March 1975. 1830 hours. Type 3. This is probably same bird as in a). (It was in same place as recorded in a).) Note that in beginning its voice is "normal" (i.e. does not "break") but both figures are at lower pitch! However, later its voice is again "two-tone" with second figure higher. I believe this bird a male from its behavior, but can't explain its "poor" voice. Quality: 2+ (1-2). Level: +3. Std.
