Type 2 bird (there had been whistled imitation before and throughout the recording period). Quality: 2 to 2-. Level: 0. 203 tape. LN. No parabola. A second bird, also Type 2, heard faintly in background. Rerecorded from N-4.2 to N-IV. Filt. 250/2000 Hz. 1500 in the part with the loud cicadas. b) 6 June 1974. 6:50 to 7:00 PM. Weather: Cloudy, fair. No doubt same bird as in a). Quality: 2 to 2+. Level: 0 24" parabola. In background are two other birds, both type 2 one with voice at slightly higher pitch. 203 tape. LN. Filt. 200/2000 Hz. Rerecorded from N-4.2 to N-IV. Filt. 250/2000 Hz. 1500 in the part with the loud cicadas. In the N-4.2 - N-IV recording I copied only parts of original: a) ~0-40, 1:05-1:15; after 5:20: ~1st, 3rd, 4th, ~6:15, ~6:25. b) ~0-2:00, 2:30-5:40.
