NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut #34. Bulk reel #493 Song type 1 = SO-SOO-la; 2 = SO-SO-LA; 3 = SO-LAA. Location: 18 Sept 1974: site = km 48 new, alt. @ 8:10 AM, cloudy fair, was 220 m. A few phrases recorded incidentally while conducting playback experiments (for which see separate sheet). Type 1 repeated at slightly lower gain from first copy. Type 1 (possibly same type 1 as in Cut 22a). Type 2 a different bird (or birds?). Type 3 almost certainly a different bird from that of cuts 21 & 22b. 175 tape. 3.75 ips. Std. Rerecorded from N-IV to N-4.2, filt. 600/2000 Hz. Note: 18 Apr 1974 was in this area at 6:00 AM and heard no Soisola song up to ~7:00 AM. There was little bird song of any kind but did hear one-note succession and dawn song by Micrastur ruficollis and also one single call by Tinamus tao.
