Observation details
Seen both in the morning and afternoon. The only goose of any species on the pond and although it was the largest waterfowl there it wasn't substantially larger than the Mallards present. A very compact goose with a small bill and square head. The pale terminal edging and dark subterminal tips to the wing coverts and tiny bill point to minima subspecies. Better photos from when I saw it later in the afternoon in that checklist.
