Showing white "v" track-lines on the rufous mantle. Yellowish legs were seen on all of the 5 PESA. Medium long straight bill. Tail and wingtips same length. Long primary extension between tertials and wingtips.Colorful sandpipers.
Observation details
Intermediate in size between killdeer and least sandpipers. All in juvenile plumage. Very warm colored with a buffy background to breast streaking like that on Lincoln's sparrow. Rufous crown contrasted subtly with the pale supercilium and face except for patch of rufous in lower loral area. Much richer colored than the Least Sandpipers next to them.
