Observation details
I initially thought this was a Western Tanager, since it resembled the photos I took of female Western Tanagers in Edmonton. Thanks to Samuel Denault for identifying the bird as a second year female Baltimore Oriole. Because of the excessive sunlight in the photos, they do not accurately pick up the hints of orange in the bird's plumage. Also, the angle of the bird's head in the photos I took made it difficult for me to see the shape of the beak, as I am not very familiar with Baltimore Orioles. However, the more I look at the photos, the more I notice the oriole beak and the hints of orange in the feathers.
