Observation details
Perched in plain sight for a few seconds at 1101, 8 m away on a dead branch along the stream at the turnaround point. Then flew upstream into an alder; ca 6 WCSP followed. When first seen perched, heard it make an upslurred, high "seep" call like WCSP, but seemed slightly higher in pitch. Bright yellow lores and well-defined white throat. I remained in the vicinity for ca 40 minutes more and glimpsed it on 2 more occasions, briefly popping into sight in the top of a Cornus sericea shrub. Presumably it was foraging on the fruits, as I saw WCSP doing. At that distance and with my level of familiarity with it, I was not able to distinguish its calls from the WCSP.
