Observation details
Found this small pale yellow oriole foraging in the shrubby alders at the far north end of the beach. It was traveling with a mixed flock of sparrows (mostly sooty fox sparrows) and eating earwigs off dead red alder leaves. First seen at about 10 am and watched at close range for 15 minutes. It gave "chit" calls fairly continuously, recorded calls.
