Media notes
NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 5. Bulk reel: 460 Time: 6:30 AM. Weather: Fair. Calls, presumably by same flock (although it appears there may have been more than one "flock" in the area). Quality: 1. Level: 0. 7.5 ips. Std. In background is Micrastur semitorquatus; also Megarhynchus pitangua. 6:35 AM. Note: After ~ 2'30" the jay in focus (giving calls) began giving a varied, warbling song in a very quiet voice. As I'd removed the phones temporarily, it was some time before I realized this and turned up the gain. This bird was perched above on a bare branch at the top of a tree and was separated from the flock when it was singing this way. At end it called, then flew, app. to join the flock. Quality: 2. Level: +5.
