NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 8. Bulk reel: 450 For calls preceding this, see Cut #6) of Coryphospingus pileatus. These were of "normal" type, not dawn song. Natural dawn song, very likely by same individual as in Cuts 4) & 5). The above first is heard in background in beginning but then stops. Then the Myiarchus changed position but cont. the "dawn song." In beginning are many birds faintly but most notable is Ortalis motmot and Turdus nudigenis. Quality: 1. Level: +5. Note: Today, this bird, if it is the same, is giving more of the "normal" type notes in its dawn song and less of the modified or special dawn song notes. This comment is made from memory comparison and may prove less than true when direct cocmparison is made. Playback: this dawn song was tried but bird gave practically no reaction.
