NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 422 Natural "drumming," then one "song" by male (? bird foraging) Quality: 1. Level: +14. Then calls of female after playback and after male had been collected. (She had also given calls just like those of male but none recorded.) Quality: 1-2. Level: +10. (Male #6357) Note: 13/2/72. At Cano de Andabo, Rio Negro, 15-20 km S of San Carlos, Terr. Amazonas. I heard just after dawn some calls (but apparently of three figures exactly like those recorded of the male in Cut 1), and although I didn't see the bird feel reasonably sure it was of this species. Sound stimulation was (other): male collected. Other Behaviors: Bill Drumming.
