Observation details
Same pair that's been here in the main library pond for the past 2 months or more. Who put them here I have no idea. On land, they are very aggressive, lowering their heads and necks and blocking the sidewalk. I observed one young lady walking, stopped and was afraid to pass them as they hissed and advanced towards her. I decided to challenge them and got within less than a foot of one before it turned and whacked me a glancing blow with one of its wings. Rather pretty birds, but (IMHO) should be removed from the park before they injure someone.
