Media notes
NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 10. Bulk reel: 403.139 tape. a) Natural song. The beginning of this song was obtained incidentally and shows how the bird begins first with two single notes before going into the two-note song. The focus was then shifted to this bird. Quality: 2 to 1. Level: 0. After normal song stopped I played back and recorded this, also two-note song. Quality: 1. Level: 0. b) After more playback. Bird sings quietly at first and note D. phasianellus-type song in beginning. This gradually changes and suddenly bird changes into ~ "normal" two-note song (preceded by a one-note beginning) at normal amplitude. Quality: 1. Level: +5, 1, 0. This bird was collected = female #7148. Response to playback: Normal song.
